Facilities

Classrooms

A room arrangement in a preschool setting is more than just aesthetics. At Temple
Judea Preschool you will find individual classrooms for each age group that are
well-equipped and engagingly decorated to create a safe, fun, and nurturing
atmosphere. The way our classrooms are laid out will affect how a child feels
about themselves, how they relate to the teacher, and to other children around them.
Our classrooms stimulate learning, exploration and play. We provide a learning
environment that is not only age-appropriate but will meet the needs of children
so they will have fun while learning.

Each of our classrooms is organized around learning centers equipped with a range
of toys and materials to foster all areas of development. Specific learning centers
change with the season and the curriculum. Each classroom is divided into learning
centers which is designed to be age appropriate. We offer: math, science, blocks,
dramatic play, library, manipultives, language arts, creative art, computers and writing.

The children are grouped together according to when they are entering kindergarten.
This gives the children and families an opportunity to grow together through the years
they are at our facility.

Health & Safety

We take pride in our facility. Our staff promotes health and safety at all times. Our
toys, tables and mats are cleaned regularly and our facility is cleaned nightly by
professionals.

At Temple Judea Preschool, we take the safety of our students very seriously. We have
security cameras to monitor who enters and leaves our facility. We ensure that your child
is always safe and supervised during school.

Your child’s health and safety is our #1 concern!!

Playground

Our outdoor facility is a large playground used daily. We have a shade cover over
our bicycle path and shade covering over our sand boxes. The playground is covered
by mulch and is enclosed by a fence and gate. The gate is locked so all visitors must
enter the preschool first in order to enter the playground. The children have their own
playground time, so they can enjoy the playground in safe numbers. We offer swings,
riding toys, cars, basketball, climbing equipment, stationary spring riders and slides.

If the weather does not permit us to go outside we are able to use the social hall so
the children can still have exercise and movement.

Parent –Teacher Communication

Every child has a cubby and folder in the classroom. Parents can pick up daily work,
notices, newsletters and notes. We encourage parents to check the file daily.

We believe that there should be ample opportunities for parents to talk to staff about
your child. We welcome your visits and your comments. Parents can schedule a meeting
anytime they feel it is needed.

Our preschool has parent board meetings each month and an advisory board. The
parent board meetings provide the opportunity for parents to get to know one another
and for parents of children in the same class to meet one another.

We invite everyone to be a part of these meetings.

Open Door Policy

Parents are able to visit the classroom or stop by the preschool anytime.

Drop off

We offer two ways to drop your child off at school. You can drive through our carline
and a staff member will take your child from the car or you can walk your child to the
playground where a staff member will be waiting.

We only offer the carline in the morning.
