| curriculum The ability to read Hebrew, and a basic knowledge of the essence and meaning behind our tefillot (prayers), provides our students with the ability to participate in all aspects of synagogue life. It is our goal that each student, as well as their families, feel a connection to the synagogue, to Israel, and to the Jewish community, as a central feature of their lives. Celebrating and observing the Jewish holidays and Shabbat, both at TJRS and at home, families will be able to maintain Jewish life and tradition. Through teaching Jewish values and ethics, we want our students to understand that all Jews are connected to and responsible for one another, the Jewish community, and the world around them. As our students live these values, they grow to understand the importance of bringing Judaism into every aspect of daily life. At Temple Judea, a religious education will result in a strong, positive Jewish identity that will last a lifetime. |
